Biye Not Out (2014) -Rina (Rituparna), a stickler for discipline, punctuality and all things right, falls in love with Nikhil (Tota), a carefree and independent wild-life enthusiast. After eight years of marriage and one daughter, their inherent differences surpass their love for each other. Rina finds Nikhil's happy-go-lucky attitude irresponsible, while Nikhil finds Rina's insistence on discipline suffocating. Rina leaves Nikhil along with her daughter and decides to divorce him. But, when Rina's old flame, Anik ( Indrajit) reappears in her life, a love-triangle begins, turning their lives topsy-turvy with hilarious results.

Biye Not Out (2014) -As a plot, this story has been told a thousand times. Still, this film by directors Abhijit Guha and Sudeshna Roy will not bore you to tears. With the right blend of comedy and mush, it surely tickles your funny bone in most of the scenes. For that the main credit goes to the script, which is witty and full of funny one-liners. Scriptwriter Padmanabha Dasgupta, who also plays Nikhil's best friend Joydeep with equal ease, should take a bow. The actors have done full justice to the film. Especially, Rituparna and Tota. They have a simmering chemistry, which the director-duo has used to its full potential. So, when the film moves between their whirlwind courtship in the past and the present situation of discontent, one can keep pace. The supporting actors, especially Biswajit Chakraborty (playing Ritu's dad) and Sumit Samaddar (a police officer) will make you go ROFL with their impeccable comic-timing. A special mention should be made about Sudeshna and Abhijit's cameo of nosy neighbours. The scene where they are complaining to the local police station about a supposed Madhuchakra going on at Nikhil's place is hilarious.

However, among such good performers, Indrajit's role as Rina's old flame Anik Bose sticks out like a sore thumb. His character, with an OCD for cleanliness (he roams around with a hand-sanitizer and applies it even before kissing Rina!) should have been howlarious. But, unfortunately, he is too deadpan to carry the role. Moreover, a dream-sequence where Rina dreams of Nikhil dancing as a Tiger (he's fixated with the animal) and the climax scene disappoint a bit.
