Awara - Kolkata Bangla Bengali Full Movie
Movie Review: There's a hero (Jeet as Surya), who sacrifices his 40K job in a big software company for his needy neighbor, doesn't go searching for another job and goes on being jobless and awara; there's a heroine (Sayantika as Poulomi), who shuttles back and forth between two cities to escape villains who, it seems, always tracking her and there's a villain (Mukul Dev as Tony), who rapes and murders a girl and gets only 6 years of prison sentence (which ultimately comes down to 4 years)! This is "Awara" for you. The film's bizarre story also include another couple of villains who pop up occasionally, two comedians making inane jokes, some songs that are shot in exotic and expensive locations and innumerable action sequences, where the goons use swords, chakus, bhojalis, rods, but never a gun. (We know it's a South Indian remake, still we do expect rich, bad guys to afford a few guns).

There are just two things that are worth watching in this yawnathon — Jeet, as he looked very handsome on-screen and acted quite well and the songs that were shot very stylishly (using good props) in Ladakh. Otherwise, leave the general audience, the people who started whistling very enthusiastically from the opening credits also starts fidgeting in their seats, waiting impatiently for the climax to happen. The reason behind their reaction is simple, the director (Ravi Kinagi) may have made "Awara" as a commercial movie giving mindless entertainment to it's target audience, but, unfortunately, it turns out to be just mindless. Kharaj Mukherjee's lecherous Madanmohan generates a few laughs (they obviously fall in the slapstick category). But that's not enough for the people who eagerly waits for these kinds of movies to release. They are definitely in for a disappointment.

Awara starring Jeet and Sayantika which has been produced by Shree Venkatesh Films turns out to be a run of the mill film which has few factors going for it , but then runs out of steam.

Awara - Kolkata Bangla Bengali Full Movie The film is about Suryo, the ‘Awara’ and do gooder who falls in love with Poulomi at first sight . The main hindrance is her brother Indrajit who stays in Kolkata and who is like a goon. Just when you thought taking care of him would solve Surjo’s problem’s, the actual problem starts and a sub plot becomes a big plot cum part of the film. The film becomes all about the rivalry of Indrajit and Tony,a dreaded don. It becomes a case of upmanship all along the way with a few characters getting bumped off. Suryo plays a double game with Tony to end the rivalry and also win over Poulomi whom Tony eyes.

Awara - Kolkata Bangla Bengali Full Movie  The film has too much violence and just like other films in recent times, the action scenes are laughable and certain things hard to believe like for example, the hero actually comes out after being buried alive(he had been buried under the ground, but overnight rain washes the mud away!). This just gets too much! The fast numbers are a little catchy which have been shot in Ladakh and Malaysia. Sayantika whom we have seen earlier in a few films gets a chance to opposite a star like Jeet and she is okay. Mukul Dev as Tony isn’t such a great choice and his voice has also been dubbed(by Kushal Chakrabarty). Rather the performances of Supriyo Dutta whom we are seeing as a villain in other films and even in this film and specially that of Kharaj Mukherjee is to be noted. Kharaj Mukherjee is one of the most talented , versatile actors around nowadays and he wins over everyone with his flair of comedy.

Nowadays, films with names like Jaaneman or Awara (which are Hindi names and names of Hindi films made earlier) are being shot, but wish the content and the storyline is a little more believable.
